El 20 de Noviembre me propuse ir al Valle de los Caidos para ver como todos los nostálgicos de la época más negra de nuestra historia reciente celebraban el homenaje a Franco y a Primo de Rivera. Lo que viví allí puedo decir que me hizo sentir una pena enorme por ver como gente de diferentes edades y una clase social generalmente media alta añoraban tiempos pasados en los que la dictadura y el caciquismo campaba a sus anchas y los derechos y libertades brillaban por su ausencia, con un espíritu ultra religioso que empañaba todo el ambiente que rodeaba al Valle de los Caidos, que es la referencia de la verguenza de nuestro pais en la que personas homenajean la dictadura mientras familias de distintos puntos de la geografía buscan a sus seres queridos asesinados y enterrados en cunetas o fosas comunes sin saber en muchos de los casos su paradero. Todo esto apoyado por la Iglesia que dentro de la basílica dejaba a los nostalgicos hacer el saludo fascista mientras dejaban flores o gritaban arriba España.
Realmente son imágenes que parecia ser de un tiempo pasado recordado como una pesadilla pero ocurrió en el 2015.

VALLEY OF THE FALLEN.

On November 20 I decided to go to the Valley of the Fallen to see how all those nostalgic for the darkest period of our recent history celebrated the tribute to Franco and Primo de Rivera. What I lived there I can say I did feel a great sorrow to see how people of different ages and high generally middle class longed past where dictatorship and despotism was rampant and the rights and freedoms were conspicuous by their absence, with an ultra religious spirit that clouded the whole atmosphere surrounding the Valley of the Fallen, which is the reference of the shame of our country where people pay homage dictatorship while families of different points of geography searching for their loved ones murdered and buried in mass graves or ditches without knowing in many cases their whereabouts. All this supported by the Church inside the basilica nostalgic left to make the Fascist salute while shouting above left flowers or Spain.
They really are images that appeared to be of a bygone era remembered as a nightmare but it happened in 2015.
