SUPERVIVIENTES
Superviviente, sí, ¡maldita sea! Nunca me cansaré de celebrarlo". Lo canta Sabina en su último trabajo (penúltimo, siempre penúltimo) y sirve para el caso que nos ocupa. Porque hay víctimas y hay supervivientes. "Es sencillo. Nosotras creemos que víctima es la que está sufriendo en su casa el tema del maltrato. Una vez que sale por sus medios o porque la ayuda alguien, se convierte en superviviente. Ahí afronta la realidad desde otro punto de vista. Nosotras estamos para eso. Muchas nos llaman cuando ya están fuera, aunque otras muchas lo hacen cuando aún están dentro y las ayudamos a dar el paso". Habla Carmen Benito, presidenta de Mujeres Unidas contra el Maltrato (MUM)... y jugadora del Let us bee!, primer equipo que representará a España en la Global Goals World Cup.
Esta historia tiene otras protagonistas, por supuesto, y comienza en octubre de 2018, cuando Eir Soccer, asociación deportiva danesa sin ánimo de lucro, se pone en contacto con la Asociación de Jugadoras de Fútbol Sala Femenino español. "Yo había conocido a una exatleta en un foro europeo de deporte", repasa Natalia Orive, presidenta de la AJFSF. "Éramos las dos ponentes, me contó su proyecto y pensé que podíamos colaborar", completa.
¿Y cuál es ese proyecto? Fue en septiembre de 2015 cuando casi 200 líderes mundiales se comprometieron, en el marco de la Agenda 2030 de Naciones Unidas, a elaborar un conjunto de retos globales para proteger el planeta y garantizar la prosperidad. Son 17, concretamente, bajo la denominación Objetivos Mundiales de Desarrollo Sostenible. Eir, después, ha convertido esos ODS en deporte, creando la Global Goals como competición alternativa. "Se combina fútbol, activismo y mujeres en riesgo de exclusión social. Entonces, cada país seleccionado tiene que escoger un grupo en el que por lo menos cuatro personas hayan sufrido algún tipo de exclusión. Por ejemplo el de Grecia es de mujeres refugiadas... en nuestro caso, como en España se está tratando bastante el tema de la violencia de género, con lo que pasó con La Manada, con el movimiento feminista del 8-M, nos interesamos por una asociación que trabajara contra ese tipo de abusos. Buscamos en internet y nos encontramos con MUM. Nos pareció interesante", recuerda Natalia.

"Quedé con ella y me contó el proyecto, cómo era y para qué... Me gustó muchísimo y decidí presentárselo a las demás compañeras, a la junta directiva y a las coordinadoras, que nos dijeron que sí inmediatamente. Se hizo un grupo para participar y todo ha ido sobre ruedas", añade Carmen. MUM tiene sede en Madrid, pero atiende a mujeres en todo el territorio español. Nacida en 2010 desde la experiencia personal, está formada por un equipo profesional de psicólogas, abogadas/os y trabajadoras sociales, con el doble objetivo de apoyar en ese proceso que va de víctima de superviviente de malos tratos y de prevenir y educar en la lucha contra la violencia de género. "No nos hemos querido meter en la situación personal de cada jugadora, respetamos su intimidad", introduce Natalia. "Yo soy la presidenta... y soy superviviente", resuelve Carmen.
El ruido de fondo, mientras Primera Plana conversa con una y otra, pasa por balones golpeados y zapatillas que rechinan al deslizarse sobre la pista. Es última hora de la tarde en el polideportivo situado en el campus sur de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid y este suplemento asiste a uno de los entrenamientos del Let us bee!, nombre al que posteriormente se atenderá porque tiene su propia explicación. "Personalmente tenía serias dudas de que fuéramos a completar, no sé, cinco o seis sesiones, pero llevamos más de 15. Incluso en Semana Santa querían entrenar y mejorar. Por tanto ha sido muy fácil, porque tienen una predisposición, un compromiso, que sin haber practicado antes fútbol nos ha sorprendido. Son ellas las que nos exigen a nosotras, que venimos del mundo del deporte", reconoce Natalia, que también jugará el torneo. "El primer contacto que tuve yo con el fútbol fue en el Rayo Vallecano, porque formamos parte de su camiseta de los siete colores. Somos el morado, el de la lucha contra la violencia de género. Pero jugar nunca habíamos jugado. En la vida. Ahora se trata de trabajar en equipo, de pasarlo bien, de hacer ejercicio... y del objetivo que acompaña todo, claro, que vale la pena. Al fin y al cabo es un proyecto de la asociación, así que estamos trabajando, pero aquí desconectamos y lo pasamos bien. El ratito que estamos jugando se nos olvida todo", admite Carmen por su parte.
Consuelo, Eva, Olga, otra Carmen (Luengo) y Luz, cada una con su historia, cada una con su sonrisa, completan un equipo dirigido por Susana Sánchez. "A mí me puedes llamar Magic", bromea la entrenadora, subestimando la memoria del periodista cuando aún no se está grabando la conversación. Son ocho, en fin, para un torneo que ya ha pasado por nueve países y que ahora, concretamente el próximo martes, llega a Copenhague. Además del nuestro, equipos de Alemania, Austria, Gran Bretaña, República Checa, Dinamarca, Grecia, Irlanda, Malta o Rumanía competirán contra combinados de toda Dinamarca en partidos de seis minutos que se jugarán en el campo urbano del famoso edificio Blox. El ganador pasará a la gran final, en Nueva York el próximo septiembre. La GGWCup tiene su propio sistema de puntuación, atendiendo a las peculiaridades de las participantes: además de por goles se otorgan puntos por acciones, por estilo creativo y por participación del público. Como se atiende incluso a las equipaciones, Let us Bee! prepara unas que, lógicamente, tendrán que ver con las abejas.

La visibilidad es otro concepto fundamental aquí. "Hay mujeres que van a participar y que no quieren imágenes, que salen de espaldas, que toman medidas diferentes dependiendo de la situación de cada una... nosotras lo hablamos y desde el primer minuto MUM dejó clara su premisa: siempre hay que dar la cara. Cuanto más normalicen todo, mejor. Eso les da fuerza... y más valor a la situación que han tenido que vivir", explica Natalia. "Que se oculte una mujer... al revés, nosotras lo hemos sufrido y queremos que se nos vea la cara, dando testimonio para que la que esté en el otro lado sepa que hay salida y se anime. El mensaje es que se puede. Muchas veces cuando estás detrás no sabes cómo afrontarlo: si salgo, ¿cuál es el paso siguiente? Que sepan que, aunque deberían cambiar cosas, tienen respaldo tanto de las instituciones como de nuestra asociación", remacha Carmen.
En la suma de solidaridades que supone la iniciativa, el Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible escogido es el número 15, vida de ecosistemas terrestres, que pasa por detener la pérdida de diversidad biológica. En el caso de las abejas, un 8% mueren cada año por tóxicos, deforestación, cambio climático... "Podíamos haber elegido la violencia de género, por supuesto, pero nos parecía que ya estábamos trabajando en el tema y que podíamos aportar algo más", afirma la presidenta de MUM. "Es que también hacen muchas cosas en cuanto a ecología, reciclaje, tienen incluso una ecoaldea... les gustó esa temática. Era bonita y fácil de implementar", apunta la de AJFSF.
Son las nueve de la noche y acaba el entrenamiento. Próximo destino: Copenhague.
Supervivientes... y ahora futbolistas. Nunca se cansarán de celebrarlo.
SURVIVORS
Survivor, yes, damn it! I will never tire of celebrating it. We believe that the victim is the one who is suffering in his house the subject of mistreatment. Once he goes out by his means or because someone helps him, he becomes a survivor. There he confronts reality from another point of view. We are for that. Many call us when they are already out, although many others do it when they are still inside and we help them take the step. This story has other protagonists, of course, and begins in October 2018, when Eir Soccer, a non-profit Danish sports association, gets in touch with the Association of Spanish Women's Indoor Soccer Players. "I had met an ex-athlete in a European sports forum," says Natalia Orive, president of the AJFSF. "We were the two speakers, he told me about his project and I thought we could collaborate", he adds.
And what is that project? It was in September 2015 that almost 200 world leaders committed themselves, within the framework of the 2030 Agenda of the United Nations, to elaborate a set of global challenges to protect the planet and guarantee prosperity. There are 17, specifically, under the name World Sustainable Development Goals. Eir, later, has turned those ODS into a sport, creating the Global Goals as an alternative competition. "Football, activism and women at risk of social exclusion are combined, so each selected country has to choose a group in which at least four people have suffered some kind of exclusion, for example the one in Greece is for refugee women. In our case, as in Spain, the subject of gender violence is being dealt with a lot, with what happened with La Manada, with the feminist movement of 8-M, we are interested in an association that will work against this type of abuse. We search the internet and we find MUM, we found it interesting, "recalls Natalia.

"I stayed with her and she told me about the project, what it was like and why ... I liked it a lot and decided to present it to the other compañeras, the board of directors and the coordinators, who immediately told us that it was a group to participate and everything has gone smoothly, "adds Carmen. MUM is based in Madrid, but serves women throughout the Spanish territory. Born in 2010 from personal experience, is formed by a professional team of psychologists, lawyers and social workers, with the dual objective of supporting in this process that goes victim of survivor of abuse and to prevent and educate in the struggle against gender violence. "We did not want to put ourselves in the personal situation of each player, we respect their privacy", introduces Natalia. "I am the president ... and I am a survivor," Carmen solves.
The background noise, while Primera Plana converses with one and another, goes through beaten balls and slippers that squeak when sliding on the track. It is late in the afternoon at the sports center located on the south campus of the Polytechnic University of Madrid and this supplement attends one of the Let us bee! Trainings, a name that will later be addressed because it has its own explanation. "I personally had serious doubts that we were going to complete, I do not know, five or six sessions, but we took more than 15. Even at Easter they wanted to train and improve, so it was very easy, because they have a predisposition, a commitment, without having played football before, it has surprised us, it is they who demand from us, that we come from the world of sport ", recognizes Natalia, who will also play the tournament. "The first contact I had with soccer was at Rayo Vallecano, because we are part of his shirt of the seven colors, we are the purple, the fight against gender violence, but we have never played before. Now it's about working as a team, having fun, exercising ... and the objective that accompanies everything, of course, it's worth it ... After all it's a project of the association, so we're working, but here we disconnect and have a good time, the little we are playing, we forget everything, "Carmen admits.
Consuelo, Eva, Olga, another Carmen (Luengo) and Luz, each with their story, each with her smile, complete a team led by Susana Sánchez. "You can call me Magic," jokes the coach, underestimating the journalist's memory when the conversation is not yet being recorded.There are eight, finally, for a tournament that has already gone through nine countries and now, specifically next Tuesday, comes to Copenhagen. In addition to ours, teams from Germany, Austria, Great Britain, Czech Republic, Denmark, Greece, Ireland, Malta or Romania will compete against teams from all over Denmark in six-minute matches played in the urban arena of the famous Blox building. The winner will go to the grand final, in New York next September. The GGWCup has its own scoring system, taking into account the peculiarities of the participants: in addition to goals, points are awarded for actions, creative style and public participation. As you even attend to the kits, Let us Bee! prepares ones that, logically, will have to do with bees.

Visibility is another fundamental concept here. "There are women who are going to participate and who do not want images, who come from behind, who take different measures depending on the situation of each one ... we talk about it and from the first minute MUM made clear its premise: you always have to give The more they normalize everything, the better.That gives them strength ... and more value to the situation they have had to live, "explains Natalia. "Let a woman hide ... the other way around, we have suffered it and we want our faces to be seen, giving testimony so that whoever is on the other side knows that there is a way out and is encouraged. Many times when you are behind you do not know how to deal with it: if I leave, what is the next step? That they know that, although they should change things, they have support from both the institutions and our association, "Carmen recalls.
