SEQUIA.
En la Rioja, zona de verde por naturaleza, entre los años 40 y 50 quedaron inundados muchos pueblos con la tristeza y pena de sus vecinos a los que por cuatro míseras pesetas les robaron su casa, su pueblo, su vida y en muchos casos su porvenir, todo por el futuro de los pantanos que se iban construir. El paso del tiempo y la sequía ha dejado al descubierto algunos de ellos. Mansilla de la Sierra es el ejemplo de la sequía y el cambio climático que aunque mucha gente no quiere ver, se está produciendo, y los gobiernos hacen poco o nada por parar esto que nos puede llevar al desaste de la naturaleza.
El pantano se encuentra ahora mismo en torno al 7 % de su capacidad y deja imágenes impactantes de lo que eso conlleva para la naturaleza y el ecosistema del lugar. Se aprecian en el fondo del pantano ahora seco lo que era el pueblo con sus calles empedradas que de los años 40y que primero la guerra y luego el pantano terminó destrozando.
Debemos todos y cada uno poner de nuestra parte y tomar conciencia para parar lo que algunos no quieren ver o miran hacia otro lado.

DROUGHT.
In the Rioja, an area of reen by nature, between the 40 and 50 were flooded many towns with the sadness and grief of their neighbors who for four miserable pesetas stole their home, people, life and in many cases future, all for the future of the swamps that were to be built. The passage of time and drought has exposed some of them. Mansilla de la Sierra is the example of drought and climate change that although many people do not want to see, is occurring, and governments do little or nothing to stop this that can lead us to the desaste of nature.
The swamp is now around 7% of its capacity and leaves shocking images of what that entails for the nature and the ecosystem of the place. You can see at the bottom of the now dry swamp what was the town with its cobbled streets that of the 40s and that first the war and then the swamp ended up destroying.
We must each and every one put our part and become aware to stop what some do not want to see or look the other way.
